Residency

This Artist-in-Residence programme does not provide instruction or formal lessons. This residency aims to offer artists the time, space, and environment to focus on their own creative work. Setting the creative theme, formulating the production plan, and managing the daily progress of the work are all entrusted to the participant's own responsibility and initiative. Staff members are not “instructors” for the creative activities; they are responsible for providing the environment and offering minimal support.

• Access to the studio facility: Here for the pictures. machine use is depending on individual experience

• Personal workspace of 10㎡

• Access to wood: Free use of pine wood. Additional costs for other species

• Accommodation: A private bedroom with a view of Mt.Fuji and shared toilet, bath, and kitchen. Here for the pictures

• "Wood Culture Talk Night": It is greatly appreciated if participants can have a presentation about wood culture in their hometown or country, so that world wood culture can be shared among everyone staying at the same time. Speakers can freely decide the length of their presentation, and the schedule is generally during the third week of the programme.

Price

• Program fee:  ¥360,000/month including studio usage fee and Accommodation fee. 30 days is the shortest period. Meals are NOT included.

• Extension of stay only: ¥5,000-/day　

• Extension for both stay and use of the workshop: ¥12,000-/day

Studio Rules

・The available hours: 7am - 11pm. Use of machines and any works making loud noise are until 9pm.

・If any facility get damaged or destroyed, the operator will be required to compensate for the damage.

Registration Process

1. Send your application form through the 'Apply' below.

2. After staff have confirmed your application details, a video chat consultation will be conducted.

3. Once your participation has been approved following the selection process, we shall send you an invoice.

4. Your registration confirmation will be sent when the payment is received.

Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society Artist-in-Residenceは、
「指導」や「授業」を提供するプログラムではありません。

本レジデンシーは、作家が自身の制作に集中するための時間・空間・環境を提供することを目的としています。
制作テーマの設定、制作計画の立案、日々の制作進行は、すべて参加者自身の責任と主体性に委ねられます。

スタッフは制作活動の「講師」ではなく、環境提供と最低限のサポートを担います。

• スタジオ施設の利用：写真参照。機械使用は個人の経験に依存

• 個人作業スペース：10㎡

• 木材の利用：松材は無料。他樹種は追加費用

• 宿泊施設：富士山を望む個室、トイレ・浴室・キッチン共用

• ウッドカルチャー・トークナイト：滞在者同士で世界の木材文化を共有するため、参加者が出身地や自国の木材文化について発表していただけると大変ありがたいです。発表時間は自由で、日程は通常プログラム第3週になります。

料金

• プログラム参加費：スタジオ使用料・宿泊費込み 月額360,000円。最短30日間。食事は含まれません。

• 宿泊のみ延長：1日あたり5,000円

• 宿泊＋工房使用延長：1日あたり12,000円

スタジオ利用規則

• 利用可能時間：午前7時～午後11時 機械使用及び騒音を伴う作業は21時まで。

• 施設を破損・破壊した場合、利用者は損害賠償の義務を負います。

予約手順

• 下記「申し込む」より申込書を送付してください。

• スタッフが予約内容を確認後、ビデオ通話による面談を行います。

• 選考後に参加が認められた場合、請求書を送付します。

• 入金確認後、登録完了通知を送付します。
